Identity struggle

Mother and Father working 6 am till 10 at night, Father working till the smell of sweat, Holding a penny, remind him of all the suffering, Mama cooking till the smell of smoke, Cracked an egg to fry, when enemies cracked her family ties, Persecuted and scorn behind enemy lines, They fight for what they left for. Chemical bombs and bullets in every direction, Finding a way to the life of perfection, Crossing every jungle to cross the Mekong River, Thai people sending every Hmong back across the river for torture and torment, Hiding behind every jungle from massacres, wives/women raped, husband/men dead, What would they live for. Children crying every direction, Thrown off a tree down the mountains, mother’s voice cries for their young, Protection and contacts has been broken, CIA leaving the Hmong in the jungle for death.
